The Grain Gathering was started by The Bread Lab ten years ago as a way to bring together bakers, millers, maltsters, brewers, distillers, teachers, students, farmers, community activists and others to discuss more meaningful, productive, nutritional and equitable grain systems. Each year participants come from up to 25 States and 15 countries.

Recently, the Grain Gathering has been held at off-site locations. Last year, Lexington, Kentucky. This year, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The idea is that by decentralizing our location, we will also decentralize our discussions.
